Who We Are

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is an organized group of volunteer health professionals who can respond to local disasters and may assist with other community public health needs.

What We Do

  • Mitigate and alleviate the health effects of man-made and natural disasters on the local community
  • Create a framework to match health professional volunteers’ skills and interests with their community needs.
  • Train health professionals in disaster response, thereby enhancing local emergency response efforts
  • Provide reserve capacity at the community level to respond to local public health needs and priorities.
